Roller Maintenance &
Mechanical Repair

Expert reconditioning and structural repair to extend the lifespan of your critical industrial rollers saving you the cost of full replacement.

Restoring Peak Performance to Your Machinery

At Gomplast Pakistan, we understand that a worn rubber covering is only half the story. The internal mechanics and structural integrity of your metal core are just as critical to your production line’s success.

Instead of discarding damaged assets, our maintenance division diagnoses and repairs mechanical wear, corrosion, and structural damage. Backed by European standards, we bring your existing metal cores back to precise OEM tolerances,  helping restore stable, low-vibration operation for years to come.

Specialized Maintenance Capabilities

Shaft, Bearing Journal & Keyway Restoration

When bearing journals become loose or damaged from heavy use, it causes noticeable operational vibration. We rebuild and precision-machine bearing journals back to their original tolerances, and provide exact-tolerance keyway cutting and milling on metal shafts so drive gears and pulleys fit cleanly, with minimal play or slippage.

Sizing Roller Side Replacement

Harsh chemical environments and constant moisture can cause significant corrosion. When the sides of your sizing rollers become badly rusted, we cut out the compromised edges and weld in newly fabricated, high-grade metal replacements.

Banana Roll Rebuilding

Curved expander rolls (banana rolls) require precise internal engineering. We offer complete rebuilding services, including recalibration of shaft bending to support even, consistent web spreading. Our process includes custom manufacturing of new spacers and stainless steel side cups, along with the installation of quality bearings and fresh rubber seals that protect internal bearings from water and chemical ingress.

Kusters Swimming Rolls Maintenance

Servicing hydraulic swimming rolls safely requires specialized training most facilities don’t have in-house. Gomplast Pakistan holds an official letter of capability from Kusters, formally recognizing our ability to correctly dismantle, inspect, and service their hydraulic swimming rolls so your most complex rolls are maintained by a team with verified expertise, not general mechanical guesswork.

When Does a Roller Need Maintenance?

A few early signs are usually enough to tell you it’s time for an inspection catching them early is typically far less costly than an unplanned production stop or a full roller replacement.

  • Reduced precision or declining performance — output quality drifting even though your process settings haven’t changed

  • Visible coating wear — smoothing, pitting, or thinning of the rubber surface

  • Vibration or unusual noise during operation — often a sign of bearing wear or an imbalance developing in the core

  • Damaged shafts, misalignment, or deformation — visible bending, play, or an uneven running surface

  • Thermal, pressure, or adhesion issues — inconsistent heat distribution, uneven nip pressure, or material sticking where it shouldn’t

  • Process changes requiring roller reconfiguration — a new product, material, or line speed that your current roller wasn’t built for

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s worth having us take a look before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
